In 2020, M&T extended the Spotlight Shop, from an in-person activation to a digital-first initiative–continuing its commitment to the enterprising communities they serve. We partnered with Baltimore’s homegrown musical talent for live-streamed event content, celebrating local independent culture. This brought people together: from M&T employees to music fans, through virtual performances every Friday over four weeks. Poster art was created by Baltimore-based artist, George Wylesol.

“I really feel my audience enjoyed watching me perform with a live band, especially since I haven’t been able to fully perform due to Covid-19. I’ve had many people reposting and sharing how much they enjoyed the performance and I’ve gained a decent number of followers.”
“Y'all were great. It was a good way to connect to fans right now. Some people said it made them feel better and that’s always nice to hear so thank you.”
