At Imprint Projects, we think a lot about our work and love, and what it means to love one’s work. Valentine’s day is our birthday. To celebrate our fifth birthday, we invited ten of our favorite artists and designers to go on a “blind date” — to collaborate on a project without ever meeting before. The prompt for each couple was: What’s love got to do with it? Each collaborative design has been executed as a 16×24″, three-color silkscreen, in numbered editions of 100. Each couple selected a non-profit to receive a portion of the proceeds from their poster’s sale.
The beauty of the process was that either of us were free to change or discard anything that we felt wasn’t working.
We wanted to take this moment to think about how love does operate in our lives—not just romantic love, but also the love one has for work and the people we work with.
