The 511 Skateboarding Collection is the historic collaboration of two iconic American brands, Levis and Nike. We created a magazine devoted to the people and the culture that made this project possible. Through documentary photography and interviews, this publication revealed the characters and road to product innovation and production: a denim archivist, textile developer, factory workers, skate-shop owners and, of course, skateboarders.
Imprint Projects turned to photographer and skate icon Craig Stecyk for a survey of street style over the last half-century. Photographer Peter Sutherland explored 150-year old Cone Mills’ White Oak denim factory in North Carolina. All resulting in a spread of stunning skate shots featuring Nike Team rider Omar Salazar.
Produced as a limited edition of 501. Distributed nationally at select retail partners.
