Forty-nine percent of mobile gamers are women but only 23% of game developers are women. To address this disparity, Google Play launched the Change the Game Design Challenge – a contest for teen girls. Imprint Projects created a series of documentary films following each of the five finalists. The videos earned 2.2M+ impressions and 58K+ organic views within two weeks of publishing, successfully inspiring a generation of young women and promoting diversity in the gaming industry.
